More Engaging than Audio Conferencing
Have you ever found yourself zoning out, getting distracted or attempting to multi-task whilst in an audio conference? Don’t worry, you aren’t alone. Audio conferencing is typically a lot less engaging than video conferencing as members tend to feel disconnected and feel less pressure to maintain concentration.
Video conferencing, however, adds the pressure to maintain ‘virtual eye contact’ throughout the call with those who are speaking as you would in real life, leading to much higher levels of engagement and greater communication between teams. It also helps others to feel more listened to and understood as eye contact and body language are great means of communication, showing them that you are actively listening.
